What to Expect

We start our journey with a coffee break in the charming fishing village of Cascais, where we'll leisurely stroll along the promenade overlooking the Marina. Afterwards, we'll drive along the coastal road, enjoying in the breathtaking views of the mighty Atlantic Ocean until we reach Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Perched atop a 150-meter cliff, it unveils a panoramic view of the Serra de Sintra and the coastline. Now it’s time to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Royal village of Sintra. A guided walking tour will lead us through a labyrinth of narrow, charming streets. We'll pause to try the local liquor, Ginginha, traditionally served in a chocolate cup. With the appetizer complete, it's time for lunch at a local restaurant, indulging in traditional Portuguese cuisine (not included in the price). The pinnacle of our journey is a visit to the mysterious Quinta de Regaleira. We'll wander through its most secluded corners, peer into secret grottos, and navigate underground labyrinths. As the sun's last rays illuminate the surroundings, we'll descend to the iconic Initiation Well, where legend holds that Masonic Lodge initiations took place. At this time of day we have a chance to be in the well completely alone. It may not be the best time to take beautiful photos, but you will definitely enjoy the time without crowds of tourists.
