What to Expect

This tour is designed for discerning travelers who want to enjoy some of Portugal’s finest wines without worrying about driving. Limited to just 7 travelers, this tour takes you on a journey off the beaten path to two wineries and several small villages that offer a unique glimpse into rural life. Explore the “Livramento” Market in Setúbal, which has been considered one of the world's best markets. Don’t eat a heavy breakfast because here we are going to try one of the best Portuguese cheeses with rustic made bread. You also will discover a vast variety of fresh seafood and fish, fruits and vegetables, traditional pastries and regional agriculture products. Cross the mountain road to enjoy the stunning views of the Arrábida Natural Park overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Sado River and the city of Setúbal; driving to the first vinery: “Quinta da Bacalhoa”, where you'll be guided through a tasting of three well-know wines. Discover the traditional Portuguese methods of tile making at the "Azulejos de Azeitão" tile factory, and be ready to visit the oldest wine cellar of the region “José Maria da Fonseca” to taste the first red table wine of Portugal.
