What to Expect

Designed for discerning wine lovers, this private full-day experience takes you beyond Lisbon into the heart of the Arrábida region — where dramatic landscapes, historic estates, and exceptional wines come together. Begin your day at the renowned Livramento Market in Setúbal, often ranked among the world’s best. Explore vibrant stalls of fresh seafood, seasonal produce, regional delicacies, and artisan products — topped off with a tasting of one of Portugal’s finest cheeses served with rustic bread. Next, we take the scenic mountain road through Arrábida Natural Park, with breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean, the Sado River, and the city of Setúbal. Your wine journey includes a guided visit and tasting at Quinta da Bacalhôa, led by the estate’s sommelier. You will then continue to the historic José Maria da Fonseca winery (or a carefully selected alternative winery) — home of the iconic Moscatel de Setúbal and one of Portugal’s oldest wine houses. Expect between five and eight wines throughout the day. For those who wish to add a cultural touch, an optional stop at a traditional tile workshop in Azeitão can be arranged. A relaxed lunch stop at a carefully selected local restaurant in Sesimbra or Setúbal is part of the experience, allowing you to enjoy regional cuisine in an authentic setting. (Lunch is not included in the tour price.) If time and preference allow, we may also include an optional panoramic stop overlooking Lisbon from Cristo Rei before returning comfortably to the city.
